I have a mix of organisational leadership and governance experience. I’ve spent over 30 years working to strengthen communities and support fair, inclusive systems – internationally, nationally, and locally.

Employment Highlights

Acting Chief Executive, Te Kāhui Tika Tangata – Human Rights Commission (2022–2023)

Led Aotearoa New Zealand’s National Human Rights Institution through a leadership transition while advancing work on race relations, disability rights, and equal employment opportunities.

Chief Executive, Lifewise (2014–2020)

Oversaw a diverse portfolio including housing and homelessness, support for children in care, mental health and addiction services, early childhood education, and aged care.

General Manager, Strategy & Planning, Porirua City Council (2010–2014)

Led social and economic development, city planning, harbour restoration, and city centre revitalisation. Helped deliver Porirua’s award-winning Village Planning Programme.
